My first submission I deemed fit for the outside world
One of my favorite characters to draw, Maria is from a book I am (slowly) writing. She is an independent kind of woman, a rarity in 1936. A self-taught pilot, she also learned to shoot as a child in 1918. Fiercely self-reliant, she'd rather challenge you to a shoot-off than argue a point further.
This was done on good ol' 8.5"x11" copy paper with ballpoint pen and colored pencils.
